Operating Standards

Marstel operations are certified to ISO 9001-2000 for operational management standards and the NZ operations are certified to ISO 14001 for continual environmental improvement in operational management. The Coode Island operation is licensed as a Major Hazards Facility as defined by the Victorian Government Major Hazards regulations.

As part of the company’s operating standards, Marstel encourages its customer base to regularly (bi-annually and sometimes annually) audit the engineering and safety standards of its terminal operations. This management approach ensures the company independently maintains international design and technology standards, customer approval of its operations and leadership in operational standards across the broad range of the bulk liquids handling business.
